During the travel we were asking ourselves how our pen friends were like, because we have already had only some descriptions, that they have sent us and nothing else.

When we arrived to the school, the students of the institute received us singing some songs and one of them was in Italian, and during this small party all Austrian students were looking us as aliens, after that we went by air cableway over the mountain where we had lunch eaten all together with our new friends.

We stayed there for two hours, we came back to the town, and each one went in to each family.

The houses were really big, every boy or girl  had his/her bedroom.

After that we visited the new town with our new friends.

We realized how wonderful gardens and nice little rivers were around the houses.

when evening was coming we went to each family to had dinner. We think of  the Austrian  food is good, but very  spice .    

After dinner we went to the young center  where every evening the Matrei’s  boys sing the songs and play billiards, it is a nice way to spent time altogether.             Next morning we wake up and we went to their school to have some lessons in austrian language . The students dressed during the hours of school the slippers;  the first hour the teacher of english ask us a lot of questions and then she gave her students one test, we also write english test.

The school day went on with Maths  and Informatics and we had a lot fun because we surfed the net with our new friends.

In the afternoon we went to the National park and with one very good guide we visited a very interessing the museum full off information about the animals bourn there.

The afternoon  finished with a friendly atmosphere, we tried to climb the training wall.

At the end of day we went to the school for one party where we had a lotof fun and we saw nice photos and slides  for one buffet and photo.

The evening come to an end with the head master speech  and we had a lot of presents.

After this very good esperiens  I think:

Durante il viaggio ci domandavamo come fosse la nostra corrispondente, anche perché oltre alle descrizioni che ci avevano spedito dove erano illustrate alcune caratteristiche non sapevamo nient’altro…

Appena arrivati siamo stati accolti nella scuola con diverse canzoni cantate in coro da tutti gli alunni dell’istituto tra cui una in italiano, durante questa piccola festa tutti gli studenti austriaci ci guardavano incuriositi come se fossimo degli alieni, successivamente  siamo andati in funivia sui monti austriaci dove abbiamo mangiato in una baita  assieme alle nostre nuove compagne.

Siamo stati nel rifugio per circa due ore per poi ritornare in paese dove ognuno di noi  si è recato con il proprio corrispondente in famiglia.

Le case erano veramente grandi, infatti ognuno di noi aveva persino una camera tutta sua.

Dopo esserci sistemati abbiamo fatto un giro turistico dove le nostre amiche ci  hanno fatto visitare tutto il paese, la cosa che mi ha colpito di più è stato il limpido ruscello che lo attraversa e la cura dei giardini che circondano le abitazioni.

Era già sera così ognuno si è diretto a casa per cenare, la cucina austriaca è molto particolare caratterizzata da saporite zuppe molto speziate.

Successivamente ci siamo recati al centro giovani dove tutte le sere i ragazzi di Matrei si ritrovano per cantare o giocare a biliardo...un simpatico modo per divertirsi insieme ai tuoi amici.

La mattina seguente siamo andati con loro a scuola per assistere a una lezione in austriaco dove stranamente gli studenti indossavano durante le ore di scuola delle ciabatte;  la prima ora la professoressa di inglese ci subissò di domande successivamente  sottopose ai suoi alunni una verifica, la propose anche a noi che non obbiettammo e diligentemente svolgemmo.

La giornata scolastica continuò con matematica e informatica dove in quest’ultima ora ci divertimmo tantissimo illustrando il sito della nostra scuola e vari siti pieni di giochi.

Il pomeriggio dopo il pranzo ci siamo diretti verso il parco nazionale, assieme a una guida molto cortese abbiamo girato il museo ricco di informazioni sulla flora e la fauna della regione austriaca.

Infatti  le informazioni della guida erano corredate da video spettacolari e coreografie alpine con animali imbalsamati.

Il pomeriggio si è concluso con clima sportivo facendo climbing aiutati da professionisti  del luogo.

A fine giornata ci siamo diretti nella scuola per la festa d’addio dove ci aspettava un bel buffet e tante foto da guardare.

La serata si è conclusa con un discorso del preside e tanti regali per noi italiani tra cui una maglia,un berretto e un cd a ricordo dei momenti passati assieme.

Dopo questa magnifica esperienza penso che per tutti noi la considerazione finale sarà…
